Career & Employment

The goal of Círculo Career Services is to provide career related services to both Hempstead and Long Beach ( Long Island) communities. We are committed to providing high quality employment services to Círculo clients representing a wide range of educational, cultural and social-economic backgrounds. When needed for individual career development, we tap into Círculo’s educational resources (ESL and/or GED) and computer training resources. Our services include access to Career Centers in both Hempstead and Long Beach.

Círculo’s Community Career Directory is a database driven, online jobs directory. The online directory is available at both Hempstead and Long Beach sites and is internet accessible to clients who have completed a Círculo Career Development Workshop.

Through our Career Development Workshops, Professional Development Seminars and/or direct access to high quality career counseling services, we can make a difference in your job search — or get you started on a new career path. Career counseling services are free to the community and are available by appointment from Monday to Saturday during the day or evening.

Our services include a monthly ( Hempstead based) 24 Hour Career Development Workshop. This workshop focuses on developing job search skills and on gaining an understanding of the hiring process — while emphasizing goal centered career development. ESL classes and/or 16 hours of practical training in MS Office software (Word, Excel) can be also be folded into the workshop schedule. Completion of the 21 seminar entitles you open-ended career related support, counseling services, access to internships and use of a fully operational career center.
