The mission of Career and Educational Services is to encourage full participation in civic community life and to expand work opportunities for our participants. Círculo's Career and Educational program empowers clients providing education in a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment where adults gain confidence communicating via enhanced skills in:

• Language proficiency

• Computer technology

• Social Interaction

Círculo offers a variety of different educational programs including:

• English as a second language
• Vocational English
• Basic English in Native Language
• Preparation for the Citizenship Examination
• Computer Literacy
• Preparation for the GED

• Career Counseling
• Job Development
• Family Literacy
• HIV Prevention Education
• HIV/AIDS peer education, and train the trainer
• Adolescent vocational educational programs

REGISTRATIONS FOR WINTER/SPRING 2007 YOUTH PROGRAMS ARE NOW OPEN!

We want your child to enjoy our 2007 Winter/Spring programs. It is important that your child participates in these educational, cultural and recreational programs. ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE. Parents are required to register their children at our office located at 26 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY 11561.

DESCRIPTION: Elementary Students from Bilingual and Dual Language programs are assisted with their daily homework assignments for one and a half hour three times a week in a group setting. Transportation is provided directly from the Long Beach Elementary Schools to the Program site.
