Sabado Cultural

Funding from the Nassau County Youth Board enables Círculo to provide a range of educational and recreational programs to underserved Hispanic youth in the Long Beach area including its Sabado Cultural Program. The cultural program offers activities that reflect and highlight Hispanic culture including dance, and arts and crafts. In addition youth learn about different countries and their traditions.

REGISTRATIONS FOR YOUTH PROGRAMS

We want your child to enjoy our programs. It is important that your child participates in these educational, cultural and recreational programs. ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE. Parents are required to register their children at our office.

CULTURAL SATURDAYS
For Ages 6 to 12

DESCRIPTION: Children are broken up into age groups and enjoy 1 hour of history discussing the various Hispanic countries in their native language; 1 hour of arts and crafts; 1 hour of Hispanic folkloric dance. This program is for Hispanic and non - Hispanic students interested in learning about Hispanic culture
MODERN DANCE
For Ages 10 to 17

DESCRIPTION: The youth registered for this course will learn Latin American dances such as salsa, merengue, cumbia and more.
SPANISH GUITAR
For Ages 9 to adult

DESCRIPTION: Two sessions are provided: the first session is for beginners who have never taken Spanish guitar. The second session is for those who have basic knowledge and are interested in developing their skills. A guitar will be provided for class use; however students need to purchase their own in order to practice independently at home.
